Pinoy comments in social media

I was busy last Xmas, covering for work and still doing my holiday duties at the same time.


So I hardly logged in to any of the my media accounts, to check any updates, not even the worldwide sensation of a gaffe Made by That cute Family Feud host which catapulted The Winner, Pia Wurtzbach to international fame, dragging along the Philippines with it.

So I was sure, a lot of pinoys would be all over the net to celebrate this momentous event. Though I haven't got the chance to actually read the comments, cos I was busy.

But since last week having slowed down and having more time to check my accounts, I was shocked by the notierty of some of our kababayans in social media. even in blogs, parang, they can't wait to retaliate to any kind of comment unfavorable to
Our contestant or to theat winning moment.

And I started to realize, di Lang dun but to any criticism against the Philippines or anything related to our country.

Kahit sa you tube, may divers who'd say. Indonesia has the best dive sites, I've ever seen, and the Pinoys would be all over that poor guy with comments like,

"Well, you got poor taste, cos the Philippines is the best"
Or, " you haven't probably been to Apo reef that's why you're saying that.


I know we do it all tthe time here at pex, pero I was surprised and blown away, by how vicious pinoys could get, pag nakanti mo Lang ng konti.

So, Are pinoy too sensitive or defensive, that we can hardly maintain our composure and still practice online etiquette even on the smallest criticism or comment unfavorable to the Philippines?
