Amnesty International joins other prominent organizations, such as the World Health Orgsnization, in calling for the decriminalization of sex workers -- not considering prostitution as a crime. This removes the stigma on sex work, allows them to seek protection, health care and better opportunities through government help. It also removes the power of pimps, traffickers and abusive police, who currently controls this trade.
