TIPS: Smart Commuting List For Call Center Agents

We all know that most call center agents work at night. Being street smart is especially imperative for employees who have to work the night shift like call center employees. Being street savvy is a skill that can save lives. So, here’s a list of commuting to help you survive the streets and hopefully get you home safe and sound.:lol:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the public transport system
    Naku. Interview nyo pa lang dapat alamin nyo yung mga sasakyan nyo. Tandaan hanggang 9-10PM lang LRT and MRT.
  2. Know your way around the Metro
    Kung hindi kayo taga Maynila talaga, hindi naman masam na tanungin mo sa HR kung paano papunta sa office. Then, start from there. Ask mo co-workers mo for new routes.
  3. Live nearby if you can
    Kung swerte ka, hindi naman msamang magbedspace. Atleast malapit ka lang sa work. Saglit lang travel time mo.
  4. Beware of taxi crimes
    If you ask me. Sobrang dalang kong magtaxi dito sa Manila kasi, grabe mga modus dito.
    Alam nyo na yn. Itext ko plate number tska driver's name sa closest family or friend nyo.
  5. Turn common objects into defense tools
    When I used to work in another BPO company before, hassle kasi shifting sched ko kaya I always bring a pepperspray with me. Maliit lang yun pero lethal eh.
  6. Don’t text and commute
    Sa mga call center agents na mahilig pa ring maglaro or magsoundtrip pauwi eh, ipahinga nyo naman mga tenga at mata nyo. Tulong nyo na din sa knila.
  7. Decent looking doesn’t mean safe
    maraming naglipanang desente pero manggantso pala. Stay in a crowded place as much as possible.
  8. Be creative with options
    Kung pwede naman makisabay sa kateammate mo, bakit hindi. or maguber or grab, total aford mo naman sa sahod mo, mas okay kasi mas safe!
