Responsibilities:
Defines the tests to be carried out and ensures methods and requests adequacy.
Anticipates resources needs (human and equipment)
Plans France lab tests optimizing the work load in accordance to the requester.
Affects each request to a technician enhancing the versatility.
Carries out tests according to appropriate work instructions and specifications in accordance with ISO 17025 quality standards.
Ensures that measuring means are proper to be used.
Points out and keep its superior informed about any observed irregularities while testing.
Ensures the turnaround time for all the activities of testing of the laboratory (sub contracting included).
Identifies the need of sub contracting activity (no capabilities to carry out internally in the requested timing), selects and ensures the partner (external lab) capability (technically and to respect turnaround time).
Optimizes overall implementation to respect our turnaround time commitment.
Writes tests reports related to its direct activity and provide them to its superior for validation and dispatch.
Provides testing samples to the requester and archives the products in accordance with defined storage rules.
Coordinates maintenance activity linked with the laboratory and facilitates calibration procedure of equipments.
Write work instructions related to new tests.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a Four Year Course
Knowledge of ISO 17 025 Standards and ISO TS 16949 Standards
experience in supervision of laboratory (testing and metrology)
Experience in lab management: management of testing, resources, planning, raw material, report, customer visits
Good knowledge of lab & testing standards
experienced managing a team
good communication with management
Can work in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu
