Coach Rajko Toroman and the Jordanian National Team are currently in town from 16-19 September to try and refine their plays before they compete in the FIBA Asia Basketball Tournament, where Gilas will also be playing.
Coach said (from Spin.ph) that they are here to play against Blackwater, Ginebra, San Miguel and Barako Bull in that order. They just won a close game against the Elites, 76-73, and now they are eyeing their next match against Barangay Ginebra.
Why did Barangay Ginebra not join the MVP cup or maybe the Beermen could have taken their place, where they could have helped Gilas hone their skills and game plan for the upcoming important tournament? Why play and even help the Jordanian team instead?
